Two Islamic State Hearings in Minneapolis Federal Court

One short hearing in the morning and one longer hearing in the afternoon. See coverage at KARE 11. Here's a sketch from the afternoon hearing:

Pleading Guilty.
I particularly enjoyed sketching AUSA John Docherty who spoke at the first hearing.  Docherty was the prosecutor at the trial of Dean Zimmermann nearly ten years ago. He was also on a war crimes prosecution team at the Hague. I've never been able to get a likeness, but I think this comes close:

Hearing for Daniel Heinrich

The Star Tribune asked me to sketch a hearing for Daniel Heinrich, a "person of interest" in the disappearance of Jacob Wetterling . Read about the hearing here.
